Integrative Counselling

& Psychotherapy

Clare Brown

MBACP, BA (Hons)

Hi, my name is Clare. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor which means that I am able to tailor our work together to find a way of working which best suits your needs. I believe that together we will be able to explore your past and present life experiences to help in gaining self-awareness.

I understand that it might be difficult to take your first step into counselling and I will work to support you though the process.

About therapy

Each session will last for 50 minutes. These sessions are usually run weekly and can be on a short or long-term basis depending on your requirements and needs and what difficulties you are facing.

I offer a brief introductory call of 15 minutes where I can answer any questions you may have and discuss availability.

Our initial counselling session will be an assessment session where we will explore what you would like to get out of therapy and it is also an opportunity for you to see how we will work together. I feel it is important that you find the right therapist that works for you.

Training and qualifications

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) with a first class BA Honours degree in Integrative Relational Counselling. This means that I am able to work with you combining the different theoretical approaches that best suit our work together.

I have previously worked for the NHS with adults and young adults from diverse cultures and backgrounds. I have also worked for a bereavement charity.

I deal with many issues, including:

Bereavement including child loss, loss to suicide and miscarriage

Low mood and depression

Suicidal thoughts

Family Issues

Relationship Issues

Parenting Issues

Health Issues
