I am a member of the BACP, which is the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
 

I am a volunteer counsellor for a low cost counselling service in Addiscombe.

 

I am in regular supervision and I am fully insured. I have a current Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Certificate.

I fell into counselling after working for over 20 years with adults and children in the dental industry.  I worked as a treatment coordinator for a very busy practice but spoke with adults and children on a one to one basis in my treatment room.  I found that lots of patients opened up to me about their feelings around their appearance and I found that giving the patients the time and space to talk, led them to open up about other issues. 

I am passionate about providing a place that is confidential and safe, in a non judgemental way. I am a qualified integrative counsellor (integrative means I use different approaches depending on what the client needs). 

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I can offer you the time and space to reflect on difficult feelings. I offer empathy and congruence.

I know that coming to counselling can sometimes feel quite daunting.  I can offer you the time and space to help you process difficult feelings, thoughts and experiences in a safe and calm environment.
