Welcome to my page. I have been in that unimaginable place where I did not know where to turn, or even know where to begin to make the necessary changes to my life. It is through my own positive experiences of counselling that I decided to train to become a counsellor.
I have experience in working with people in recovery from addictions relating to alcohol and substance misuse. I also work with other issues that can be connected to addiction such as depression, anxiety, anger, relational concerns, and low self-esteem, to name but a few.
If you are struggling to manage your current concerns, are troubled by your past experiences, or if you are anxious about the future, I can provide you with support and encouragement while you explore your concerns and feelings at a pace that works best for you.
I offer short and long term integrative counselling, incorporating the psychodynamic and person-centred models, to support and enable you to work towards your goals.
I understand that taking that first step towards seeking support can seem very challenging. It is with this empathetic thought in mind, and the ethical framework that I work within, that I will always endeavour to establish a transparent and trusting therapeutic relationship, without judgement, in a safe and confidential environment.
If you think that you could be ready to take your first step towards positive change and emotional wellbeing, I can offer you a free 20 minute telephone consultation to answer any questions you might have, and I can explain how I work. You can then decide if you wish to make your first appointment.
