I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and a Practitioner Psychologist,
accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive
Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have over 4 years experience of providing
psychological therapy in both the private and NHS settings.
I work in an integrated way with an emphasis on cognitive behaviour therapy
(CBT). I enhance traditional CBT which means that therapy can be adapted
around the needs of my clients.
The common theme within these approaches is to help my clients to recognize
their thoughts and to explore whether they influence behaviours that may be
keeping problems going.
My therapeutic approach aims to help my clients to enhance their strengths
and inner resources so that they can move forward from many problem areas
such as depression, anxiety, stress, poor confidence or self esteem,
relationship problems, work related problems, eating disorders and other
distressing emotional difficulties.
Alongside my private practice, I work in the NHS within an IAPT (Improving
Access to Psychological Therapies) setting providing CBT to clients with
mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
I am registered with the following private health care companies: AXA PPP,
WPA and Simplyhealth.
